  My family and I have taken our pets here for many years which makes this review so frustrating. I always make my dog's grooming appointments with Jen because she does an amazing job and has groomed both my dog, my parent's dogs, and my brother's dog for a while now. Whenever I call to make my appointment, I always request her and only her. Today, I went in for my dog's grooming appointment only to get a slip stating that my groomer was going to be Karen today and that he'd be finished at 7:30. I felt slightly annoyed that they had switched me to a new groomer without asking or telling me but I went up to pay ahead of time as I have done many times. I realize now that this was an absolute mistake, even though I'd never had an issue before. When asked if I wanted to do a tip, I said to put down 6, which is 20%. The young girl at the register was ringing up my total and asked me if it made sense to total up to the amount it should have or a dollar more, I corrected her but she still ended up ringing my total so that there was a 7 dollar tip instead of 6. I told her that it was wrong after she handed back my card and she said she had already rang it up and could try to figure it out. I said never mind because it seemed like a hassle and that she didn't know what she was doing, and quite honestly it's a dollar so I figured oh well. Before I had left, I told the groomer that I was going to be busy till 6:30 but the slip said 7:30 anyways. Around 6:25, I received a voicemail that my dog was ready to be picked up and left right away. I ended up hitting traffic and getting there at 7pm, yes it took me 35 minutes but I was still 30 minute earlier than when the slip said to pick my dog up. When I got there, I walked to the back and knocked on the door but no one answered, I asked the girl who had checked me out at the cash register where the groomers were and she said they had left and went home. I was absolutely infuriated. My dog had been sitting in the kennel crying and howling because he had been left alone in a place that was not his home. Never once did the groomer tell me she was going to leave my dog and go home or I would have rescheduled. But clearly because she already made her money, she did not care. The entire situation was absolutely awful and it's a good thing that I already paid or I probably would have walked out and never returned. I didn't even bother making a complaint to the girl at the register because she couldn't even fix the tip. I will never return to Karen and I'm hesitant to return to Jen because although I love how she is with my dog, I don't know if I'll actually get to see her. I'm sure this had nothing to do with Jen as she's always been great but this experience put a horrible taste in my mouth. I even ran it past my family, who agreed it's unacceptable. I am doubtful I'll ever return and I caution anyone who wants to take their dog there for grooming, especially a rescue who does not like to be left in a random kennel in the back to howl away while they decide to rush home with money in hand.
